I really dont know how people expect to fight something when they actually dont know what is going on… From above post (25th of September) Gwyn talks about tool that is “soon to be released”. Thats crap. That is already released EONS ago. From that picture she posted from sluniverse.com i can assume thats Neils free viewer available for download for ages now (and i know that because his viewer dont know how to export avatar shape). But lets go back to topic…

As i already write about “war going on in SL” if you accept to go in war with somebody, you have to act like that if you really want to win. Everything is allowed in war and love, yet somehow content creators of SL so far fail misserably. Not that im on the other side, since im not really, i just keep wondering how content creators plan to fight when they have absolutely no idea against what they fight? Quite frankly, all odds are on that other, darker side for several reasons actually.

1. LL usually dont give shit about that (unless you are premium acc, there is slim chance they will do something serious)
2. All LLUDP transfer from and to viewer is not crypted at all so you really dont need any custom viewer to be able to pick something up
3. Fact that its Open source just make things worse (instead of people helping, they just making custom viewers with various features that cause havoc)
4. Content creators too often frown on “undergroung” communities (mainly IRC and sites) where reall stuff is actually going on
5. Content creators are blatantly exposing themselves on communities making themselves targets
6. and so on…

In short… most of content creators have no clue how hackers get their items copied. As long as its like that content will be copied, people will BAWWW about it and life will go on.

So, content creators, please take some time to educate yourself, instead of just banning people form your lands and bitch about it. If you are not smart enough to be in the game (coppybotters and skiddies will ALWAYS be there) then just quit. After all most of you just pick up textures and skins from Daz3D and Renderosity modify it a bit, and toss in SL for major profit.

I just noticed LOADS of blogs and forums debating about previous lulz and bawwwws regarding asset injection. Mind you that asset id was published on October 2nd and if somebody didnt tipped off creators about it, probably would still be active. So again, try keeping the pace with them if you really want to stop them. (Tho again, odds are highly against creators, but as Han Solo say: “Never tell me the odds!” – while flying into asteroid field…
